Successful leaders care about their people.  And it’s not just a sort of care about them whenever there is time or it’s convenient. They genuinely care about them all the time.

When I was responsible for hiring CEOs for health care centers, one of the things I was most interested in was whether the candidate had a genuine interest and concern for others. I knew without this quality they would never have lasting success.

care about those you lead
A good litmus test for leaders is to ask themselves whether they are interested in learning a person’s name. If a leader isn’t interested in learning a person’s name, then they probably aren’t interested in that person as a person.

If you’re a leader and you don’t care about your team, you are in the wrong position. Trust and long-term results are built on genuine interest for those you lead.
